The flights kerfuffle also involved our checked bag getting lost in probably France, along with all of our camping gear. So we're winging it! After Bergen we set off for an offseason ski cabin that we booked online, about 3.5 hours away, here:

But first we tried and failed several times to buy groceries: turns out almost all Norwegian grocery stores are closed on Sundays. We had to detour out to Dale to find one that was open.

And quite glad we did, because Dale was a very picturesque little valley town.

Onward to the middle of nowhere Røldal!
